John Torquato, MD, is a board-certified Family Practice Physician who is driven by the unique mission of Adventist medicine: merging medicine and ministry to spread the Gospel. Following the guidance of the bible and the Spirit of Prophecy, he emphasizes the Pastor/Physician partnership to carry forward the Three Angels’ Messages. Dr. Torquato practices whole-person care, considering physical, mental/emotional, spiritual, and social dimensions of health in his patient visits. He aims to make each encounter an inviting opportunity to know Jesus, believing Adventist medicine’s ultimate purpose is to prepare a people for Jesus’ second coming. Dr. Torquato’s life’s work embodies the integration of faith, medicine, and the transformative potential of the Pastor/Physician alliance in promoting holistic well-being and spiritual growth.

Wayne Kablanow has been a church planting pastor and the Church Planting Coordinator for the Upper Columbia Conference. He has planted and built two churches in the Spokane area. He is passionate about reuniting the gospel work with the medical work because he believes that Christ-like work for the body and Christ-like work for the soul are ONE work.
